YouTube to MP3 320kbps vs 192kbps vs 128kbps
For most people, 192 kbps is the right choice. It sounds clean on phones, earbuds and car speakers without creating oversized files. Choose 320 kbps if storage doesn’t matter to you, or 128 kbps for long talks and podcasts.
| Bitrate | Approx. size per minute | 10-minute video | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 128 kbps | ~1 MB | ~10 MB | Podcasts, lectures, audiobooks |
| 192 kbps | ~1.4 MB | ~14 MB | Everyday music listening |
| 320 kbps | ~2.4 MB | ~24 MB | Maximum file quality, archiving |
Where to Find Your MP3 After Downloading
Your file goes to your browser’s default download location. Here’s where to look on each device.
iPhone and iPad
Open the Files app, then Downloads (or “On My iPhone” → Downloads). To add it to your music, share it to an app such as VLC or Documents.
Android
Open the Files or My Files app and go to Downloads. Most music apps will pick up the file automatically.
Windows
Look in your Downloads folder, or press Ctrl + J in your browser to see recent downloads.
Mac
Check Downloads in Finder, or the downloads arrow in Safari or Chrome. You can drag the file into the Music app.
Playing your file in any MP3 player
MP3 is the most widely supported audio format there is. Your converted file plays in phone music apps, VLC, Windows Media Player, Apple Music, car stereos, USB speakers and older dedicated MP3 players, with no extra software needed.

How to Spot an Unsafe YouTube to MP3 Site
A safe converter gives you an MP3 file and nothing more. Leave a site if it does any of the following:
- Downloads a .exe, .apk or .dmg file instead of an .mp3.
- Shows several “Download” buttons, where only one is real and the rest are ads.
- Asks to send notifications or says your device is “infected.”
- Opens new tabs or redirects when you click Convert.
- Requires a browser extension or app before it will work.
- Asks for an email, login or payment for a basic conversion.
Troubleshooting: YouTube Video to MP3 Not Working
Most failed conversions come from the video itself, not your device. Try these fixes:
- “Invalid link”
- Make sure you copied the full video URL, not a channel or search page link.
- The video won’t convert
- Check that it isn’t private, age-restricted, live or removed.
- It’s taking a long time
- Long videos simply have more audio to process. Keep the tab open.
- The download didn’t start
- Your browser may have blocked it. Look for a blocked-download icon in the address bar and allow it.
- You can’t find the file
- See the device guide above, or open your browser’s download history.
- The upload was rejected
- Check the file is under 200 MB and in a supported format: MP4, MOV, WEBM or MKV.
If nothing works, wait a few minutes and try again.
Using Audiora Responsibly
Only download YouTube to MP3 when you have the right to keep the audio. Good examples include your own uploads, Creative Commons videos, public-domain recordings, and content the creator has said is free to download.
Downloading copyrighted music without permission can break YouTube’s Terms of Service and the copyright law where you live. If you want offline access to music you don’t own, YouTube Premium offers offline playback, and many artists sell or share their tracks directly. Supporting creators is what keeps the content coming.
Frequently asked questions
Is Audiora completely free?
Yes. Converting and downloading MP3 files with Audiora costs nothing, and no feature sits behind a paywall.
Do I need to sign up or install anything?
No. Audiora runs in your web browser, so you can start converting as soon as the page loads.
Does Audiora work on phones and tablets?
Yes. The converter works the same way in mobile browsers on iPhone, iPad and Android as it does on a desktop.
How long does a conversion take?
Most songs are ready in a few seconds. Longer videos, such as hour-long mixes or podcasts, take a little more time depending on their length.
Can I convert a whole playlist at once?
Not yet. Audiora converts one video at a time, so paste each link separately.
Can I download YouTube videos as MP4?
No. Audiora is built for audio only and saves every conversion as an MP3 file.
Is Audiora a YouTube to MP3 player as well?
Audiora is a converter rather than a player. Once you’ve downloaded the MP3, you can play it in any music app or MP3 player on your device, even offline.
Does Audiora keep copies of my files?
No. Uploaded files are deleted as soon as the conversion finishes, and we never store the MP3s we create. To make switching quality fast, the audio fetched from YouTube is kept for up to 30 minutes and then deleted automatically. We don’t ask for any personal details to use the tool.
Can I convert videos from TikTok, Instagram or other sites?
Yes. Audiora also converts TikTok, Instagram and Facebook links: paste them here or use their dedicated converter pages. For other sites, save the video to your device first and use the Upload file tab to extract its audio.
Is there a limit on how many videos I can convert?
There’s no daily limit. To keep the service fast for everyone, you may be asked to wait a moment if you convert many videos within a few minutes.
Can I listen to the MP3 without internet?
Yes. Once the file is on your device, it plays offline anywhere, with no streaming or data needed.
